  • The Serbian spruce is one of the most graceful of all spruces. It offers thin arching branches with a slender trunk. It has a tall and slender pyramidal shape with a weeping appearance. The needles are light green to blue green in color. Environmental conditions favored by the Serbian include deep, rich, moist, well drained soils with protection from strong winds. There are no serious insect or disease problems with this variety. This is a good choice for an individual specimen trees or planting in groups, and provides habitat for many birds and mammal species.
