Cut your own Christmas tree farms
Hundreds of acres, a saw with your name on it, and an afternoon you will still be talking about in January.
At B&J Evergreen, we grow the Christmas trees we sell. Come walk the rows, choose your tree and cut it yourself at our Clear Lake or Princeton farm. We'll provide the saw, shake out the loose needles and bale your tree before you head home.
Prefer to skip the saw? Both farms also have a selection of fresh-cut trees ready to choose from.
The tree is just the beginning.
Picking out the tree is the reason for the trip, but for a lot of families, everything around it becomes part of the tradition too.
On select Christmas weekends, our Clear Lake and Princeton farms have free seasonal activities happening around the farm.
Depending on the weekend and location, you might find:

- Pony rides
- Face painting
- Horse-drawn wagon rides
- Playground
- Character visits
- Chainsaw carving
- Fire pit
- Clark the camel
- Mini horses and goats
- Santa visits
- Wishing Tree
Some families head straight for the tree rows. Some make the rounds first. Some somehow end up spending more time with Clark, the camel, than they do picking out a tree. There isn't really a wrong way to do it.
Activities vary by farm and weekend, so check the current schedule before you make the drive.
Find your tree in the field.
There's something different about choosing a Christmas tree where it was grown.
Park at the farm, grab a saw and head into the rows. Take your time. Compare a few. Change your mind. Find one that's probably a little taller than you planned.
Once you've made your pick, bring it back and we'll take care of the shaking and baling.

Our Clear Lake farm stretches across hundreds of acres, with plenty of room to head into the fields and make a day of finding your tree. During select Christmas weekends, the farm also comes alive with seasonal activities for families.

Our Princeton farm offers 60 acres of Christmas trees along with its own Christmas traditions, including Santa and a petting zoo.

A Christmas tree doesn't happen in one season. Most spend years in our fields before they ever head home with a family. Our crew plants, shears, and cares for them season after season, then harvests them when they're ready. That means when you come to Clear Lake or Princeton, you're choosing a tree from the same farm that grew it. For us, that's the part that matters.
