Hundreds of acres of Christmas trees just north of Becker and about 20 minutes from St. Cloud.
B&J Evergreen has been welcoming families to our Clear Lake farm for over 50 years. Walk the rows, choose your tree and cut it yourself, or pick from a full selection of fresh-cut trees.
You’ll find seven species to choose from, with trees ranging from about 6 feet to 14 feet. We provide the saws, then shake and bale your tree before you head home.
And yes, this is the farm that once made an appearance on The Bachelor.
What to expect
Drive your own vehicle into the fields using the marked roads and farm map. Greeters can point you toward the areas with the species and sizes you’re looking for.
Trees aren’t pre-tagged. If it’s in an open section of the field, you can choose it.
Once you’ve found your tree, cut it down and bring it back to the yard. We’ll shake out the loose needles, measure it and bale it for the ride home. You’ll receive a tag with the tree size to bring to the cashier.
Our crew can help load your tree, and twine is available if you need it.

Good to know
- Saws are provided free of charge.
- Free shaking and baling comes with every tree.
- Leashed pets are welcome.
- We accept cash, check and credit card.
- There is no ATM on site.
- Come spring, the farm doubles as a landscape tree nursery: maples, birches, spruces, and pines for anyone planting rather than decorating.
- Show your tree receipt at Jack & Jim’s for a free pitcher of beer or pop.
Attractions & family fun
On select Christmas weekends, Clear Lake turns into a full day at the farm.
Depending on the weekend, you might find:
- Santa
- Petting zoo
- Pony rides
- Face painting
- Horse-drawn wagon rides
- Playground
- Character visits
- Chainsaw carving
- Fire pit
- Clark the camel
- Mini horses and goats
And if all that tree hunting works up an appetite, there's usually something good cooking too.
Becker Cub Scouts Pack 92 runs a food tent with hot chocolate, coffee, hamburgers, hot dogs and more. You may also find Grampa Steve's Kettle Corn, wood-fired pizza from Brick Oven, and Jacked Up Coffee at the farm on select weekends.
Some families come ready to head straight into the rows. Others grab a coffee, check out the animals, make a Santa stop and eventually get around to finding the tree.
Either way, it tends to turn into more than a quick errand.
Scheduled Christmas activities are free.
