Pyramidal arborvitae are a good option for planting under power lines. This tree prefers to grow in average moist soil and should not be allowed to dry out. An application of mulch around the root zone will benefit the tree during the winter months. It is generally a high maintenance tree that needs pruning, and removal of winter die back. It is disease tolerant and has a dense upright growing pattern. Good as a specimen tree or property screens.
